Privacy Policy

SafeBubble (“we”, “us”) provides privacy-first location sharing for families and friends. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Data we collect

• Account: email, name, country, timezone, profile photo (optional).
• Location: GPS coordinates, accuracy, speed, activity type, and battery state when you share location with a group.
• Groups & safety: group membership, places, geofences, SOS events, trips, and alerts you create or receive.
• Messages: direct messages between group members (retention depends on your plan).
• Device: app version, push/MQTT connection metadata, crash reports (Sentry, release builds only).
• Payments: subscription status via Google Play — we do not store card numbers.

2. How we use data

• Show live location and safety features to people you explicitly invite into a group.
• Send alerts, SOS notifications, and direct messages you initiate.
• Enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
• Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.

3. Sharing

Location and profile data are shared only with members of groups you join. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, MQTT broker) under contract. We never sell data to advertisers or data brokers.

4. Retention

Retention depends on your subscription plan (location history, messages, alerts, trips). Crash-related trips and SOS records may be kept longer for safety and legal obligations. You may request deletion under GDPR — see in-app settings or contact us.

5. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Access is protected by authentication, row-level security in our database, and least-privilege server credentials.

6. Children

SafeBubble is intended for use by families. Parents or guardians must consent to location sharing for minors in their care and control group membership.

7. Your rights

Depending on your region you may access, correct, export, or delete your data, and withdraw consent. Email privacy@safebubble.app.

8. Changes

We will update this page and the in-app consent flow when the policy changes materially. Continued use after notice means you accept the updated policy.
